TWB START-UP DAY / 12 Feb 2019
TWB organizes the 2nd edition of the “TWB START-UP DAY – From Biosciences to Bioproduction” that aims to bring together European key players in the biotech start-up business ecosystem.
This event, in partnership with the French Bioeconomy Cluster IAR, will take place on 12 February 2019, at the premises of TBS (Toulouse Business School) in Toulouse (France).
This event addresses to start-uppers desiring to develop their activity, to investors looking for new operations and to any European actor in industrial biotechnology.
The fisrt edition on 13 February 2018 (called “Hey, start-me up”) was a huge success and brought together 130 participants from 11 countries with some forty start-up companies.
The objective of this second one is to bring together at least 250 attendees.
The program will answer to four major questions that are usually at the heart of start-ups’ strategy:
- How to get funded?
- How to define the business model?
- How to be innovative?
- How to reach the market?
The day will be divided between keynotes, brief notes (testimonials), pitches and networking time to build partnerships with the international key players and experts of the sector.
A pitch contest “Pitch me your biotech start-up!” evaluating the more pertinent industrial biotech project will reward a talented start-upper by offering a technical service into TWB’s technical platforms for four months with a great high level scientific support (ca €50k).
The event is sponsored by Toulouse Métropole, Toulouse Business School (TBS), CCI Toulouse Haute-Garonne, Syngulon, Cabinet Plasseraud and ARD.
