EFIB 2018 in Toulouse, France!
The forum EFIB (European Forum of Industrial Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy) will be hosted in Toulouse, France, from 16 to 18 of October 2018. It is organised by EuropaBio and its local partners TWB and Toulouse Métropole.
EFIB is renowned to be the major annual EU meeting place for business and policy on industrial biotechnolgy and bioeconomy.
Every year EFIB brings together more than 600 international attendees from about thirty different countries (71% Europe, 18% USA, 8% Asia and 3% others). More than a third of the participants hold decision-making positions (President, Director, etc.).
Influential brands and Industry leaders will meet in Toulouse with a broad range of stakeholders and policy makers to discuss the transformative potential of Industrial Biotechnology to create a smarter and more sustainable future. There will also be time for B to B meetings. Exhibition stands complete this overview of European biotechnology.
An important place at EFIB is reserved for start-ups with the “Pitchfest” competition.
Now in its third year, EFIB PitchFest is a session for innovative, start-ups and early-stage SMEs focused on capturing the potential of Industrial Biotech to commercialising new solutions that boost the Bioeconomy and deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
It will provide an opportunity for start ups to deliver an ‘elevator pitch’ for their most promising products and processes to a panel of influential VCs in this space and to receive constructive feedback on how to maximise potential for investment.
